Research shows that when parents and other adult family members meaningfully engage in children’s learning, they play a vital role in enabling children to succeed in school and later in life. WestEd’s Parent Involvement Project (PIP) is a collaborative, multifaceted program to nurture parents’ critical role as their child’s first and most important teachers.

Join WestEd at this year’s National Association for Bilingual Education (NABE) and California Association for Bilingual Education (CABE) conferences for an exciting presentation by our PIP staff, “Relational Family Engagement with Culturally and Linguistically Diverse Families in Preschool.” This presentation will describe efforts to engage culturally and linguistically diverse families as active contributors to their children’s lifelong success through wraparound services. These services are provided to families enrolled in the state-subsidized preschool programs of three California school districts.
