Trent J. Baskerville is a Research Assistant with WestEd’s Justice & Prevention Research Center (JPRC). He focuses on data collection, qualitative analysis, community outreach, technical assistance, and information synthesis in areas of the justice system, reentry, violence prevention, and mental health.
Prior to joining WestEd, Trent served 10 years in the United States Army and served multiple tours in Afghanistan. During his military tenure he received various awards for his academic achievements: Commandants List, Basic Leaders Course (2016), Distinguished Leadership Awardee, Advanced Leaders Course (2016), and Commandants List, Recruiting and Retention College (2018).
Trent holds a BA in political science with a concentration in international relations from American Military University. He also holds an MA in public policy from the School of Public Policy at the University of California, Riverside.
