Maria Salciccioli is a Senior Research Associate in Research-Practice Partnerships. She primarily works on STEM-focused projects, with a mix of research and project management responsibilities and an emphasis on professional learning.
Salciccioli works on the California County Superintendents Educational Services Association project, under which WestEd is providing California’s 11 education service regions with formative evaluation to improve their math and science professional development, and a Office of Career, Technical, and Adult Education project to provide professional learning for adult basic mathematics educators.
Prior to joining WestEd, Salciccioli worked in policy and research at the DC State Board of Education, the US Department of Education, and SRI International. She is also a former elementary teacher and blended learning coach.
Salciccioli holds a BA in history from Princeton University and an MA in urban education policy from Brown University.
