Kimberly Viviani (she/her/hers) manages the infrastructure that supports the operations of one of WestEd’s three Divisions. She oversees administrative, coordination, and fiscal support across the Division’s eight Content Area Teams and their portfolios of work.
Viviani has managed several multiyear, multimillion-dollar research and development projects at WestEd, including the Center for the Assessment and Evaluation of Student Learning (CAESL), Algebraic Interventions for Measured Achievement (Aim for Algebra), the National Research and Development Center on Cognition and Mathematics Instruction (the Math Center), and an evaluation of the PBS Ready to Learn Initiative.
Prior to joining WestEd in 2003, she served as the Director of Curriculum and Product Design for Academic Systems, where she managed content development for three product lines: Interactive Mathematics, Interactive English, and academic.com. She also worked with Laurel Tech Integrated Publishing Services as a mathematician on the editorial team testing educational software, producing ancillary materials, and editing mathematics textbooks.
She received her degree in Mathematics from the University of California, Santa Cruz.
